Home Visit

After I left DC, I sat in traffic forEVER...even at 1 pm???What gives? I stopped in Richmond to see Son and treat him to dinner (Outback), movie (THE DARK KNIGHT) and groceries (Kroger). He was very pleased and appreciative. I spent the night in Richmond, bought breakfast...use Mom as much as you can! and headed home. It was so nice to be welcomed by the Husband, the lovely Sami, and Sage.

Today, is Tuesday and I am in Columbia, TN. I flew out at 6 am and headed to Lewisburg. GPS navigation is so wonderful! The assistant principal of Lewisburg MS was nice enough to allow me to set up for the workshop today. I am teaching a five-hour workshop there tomorrow.

There was a terrible, terrible accident on the highway. An oil or gas truck overturned and there was trash and debris everywhere. The fire, police, rescue, etc was everywhere. I had to drive to the next exit (about 12 miles) to get to my hotel which was at the exit of the accident scene. I was told that most businesses (there aren't many) had to be evacuated for awhile this morning.

I am off to Lowell, MA on Sunday. I am looking forward to this adventure...they have some pretty cool things planned.
