Went to the Seibu Lions baseball game last night. What an adventure. I will tell you that I could never have made it there by myself. It was three subways and about 70 minutes away. When we arrived the atmosphere was buzzing. Everyone was either dressed in blue and white (the Lions) or yellow and black (the Tigers). They filled the stadium almost half for each team. They LOVE baseball. They sing and cheer LOUDLY, but are respectfully quiet when their team doesn't perform well. By the way, the Lions won 6-1. So, let me tell you about the food...fish balls, chicken skewers, KFC, weird hotdogs, popcorn, rice bowls, bento boxes (sushi and such), soda, water, beer, and mixed drinks. The kids (age 16-17) were selling soda, drinks, and beer from a mini-keg strapped to their backs. Wild!
THEN, the stampede to get to the subway began. I have never been squeezed so tight before. My little group of four were pressed together and were literally inches from each other's faces. WE estimated that there were about 300 people squeezed onto the train. You better hope you and your companions used deoderant.
It was quite the adventure.
ON A SERIOUS NOTE:
This morning, I will attend a peace seminar about Hiroshima. I am looking forward to it. Yesterday, we heard a lively political debate between to members of the Diet (legislature). They were funny. One thing they both agreed on was that the TV media should be left out of campaigns. They agreed that too much money was spent on the US campaigns.
Later Gators.

that is SOOOOO COOL, Mrs. Graves!
Wow that feild looks huge ...Do they play the game differently than we do here ?
Fantastic photos! Are you SURE you don't need someone to carry your bags?
Beautiful scenery!
That all sounds so interesting. It's ironic that you mention the campaign financing thing here in the US. I don't know if you are able to keep up with news here but this week Obama announced he will decline the $83 million in public funds he gets as democratic candidate (once it's official).
